In 2013, the world’s first public Microsoft Center opened on Unter den Linden in Berlin. The building offers four floors and a total of 3,000 m² of state-of-the-art business and project spaces. The ground floor houses the “Digital Eatery” as well as a spacious, flexibly usable event area. The upper floors include the Briefing Center, an exclusive exhibition space for corporate clients.

The architectural concept and interior design were developed by the design studio COORDINATION and the communications agency FTWild. The media technology was managed by Art+Com. As part of this project, Working Islands designed, developed, and oversaw the implementation of several technically complex objects:

  • Presentation pylons with complex cabling and network connections for products

  • Reception counter in the VIP area

  • Modular presentation system for electronic devices in the café
