In 2021, our team was commissioned to develop a concept study for a building in Berlin. The goal was to create a residence for the digital nomads of a company that specifically supports their lifestyle and needs. Given the industry, the integration of a high-performance and secure server room with significant computing capacity was required. Additionally, the following requirements were defined:

• Designing a modern and luxurious living and working environment

• Implementing flexible work structures

• Enabling international data retrieval from other locations with visual processing

• Providing spaces for receptions as well as hosting events and parties

• Positioning Berlin as a location for an international target group with the highest standards

A key challenge was to optimize the building’s CO2 footprint and energy consumption through the use of intelligent technologies.
