Back in 2016, an international team of enthusiasts set out to plan a classic bar in the heart of Havana, Cuba. Working Islands was commissioned to develop the corresponding interior design.

The bar spans all floors of a small townhouse in Havana’s historic old city: the ground floor houses the main guest area, with the bar located on a mezzanine level. On the first floor, guests will find a cigar lounge alongside the kitchen. At the very top, a rooftop bar offers sweeping views over the city.

A particularly exciting aspect – then and now – has been the close collaboration with local artisans and suppliers, who brought key elements of the interior to life on site.

Shaped by a range of external influences, the project continues to evolve – yet it has remained a well-established and much-loved destination in the heart of Old Havana for years.
